DTI Aklan gives Timbangan ng Bayan sets in 17 towns

The DTI is giving two (2) 15-kg capacity weighing scales with steel enclosures to public markets under its Timbangan ng Bayan project.

The DTI Aklan Provincial Office will install a total of 34 Timbangan ng Bayan facilities to the public markets of 17 municipalities in the Province of Aklan, with each town receiving two sets of weighing scales and steel enclosures.

DTI to open addt’l Negosyo Centers in Capiz

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo Provincial Office distributed two sets of weighing scales and steel enclosures to each of the municipality in the 1^st Congressional District of Iloilo on Friday, February 12.

DTI VI resolves complaints within reasonable time

The Department of Trade and Industry VI has received a total of 347 consumer complaints from its provincial offices in 2015. Of these data, 340 were resolved through mediation, and one through adjudication while six were endorsed to other government agencies.

Weak peso seen on unchanged prices of commodities

A weak peso has resulted to higher cost of imported raw materials, the reason why prices of basic goods and prime commodities has remained unchanged notwithstanding the series of rollbacks in prices of petroleum products.

DTI Iloilo to distribute 110 weighing scales to LGUs

The Timbangan ng Bayan ready for distribution in public markets of local government units.  

In its campaign of keeping consumers on guard against unfair consumer-retailer practices, the government is providing calibrated mechanical hanging scale to all public markets nationwide, through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
