NC coordinators train on intellectual property applications

DTI VI OIC-Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon joins the IPOPHL and other regional officials together with Negosyo Center coordinators and business counselors during the one-day capacity building activity.

Negosyo Center coordinators and business counselors here underwent a one-day seminar-workshop to equip them with relevant knowledge and skills in promoting the importance of effective utilization of intellectual property (IP) in the region.

Carlito Marquez, and other national government agencies - DOT, TESDA, DENR, among others.

DTI Undersecretary for Regional Operations Group Zenaida C. Maglaya, DTI Antique OIC-Provincial Director Mercedes Young and STIDS Arlene Galopo join Antique Gov. Rhodora Cadiao and Senator Loren Legarda for a photo opportunity. Usec Maglaya shared the various programs and projects of the DTI in the Province of Antique during the “Dialogue with National and Local Officials for Antique” at The Venue in San Jose, Antique on March 3, 2017. The dialogue gives the different national government agencies the opportunity to present the various activities to be implemented in the province for the current year. Senator Legarda was the guest of honor during the program.

PIA Regional Director Atty. Janet C. Mesa, Lone District Rep. Jerry P. Treñas, PIA Director General Harold Clavite, Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog and PIA Deputy Director General Angelo Villar lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the launching of the PIA Information Kiosk on March 4 at SM City Iloilo. The DTI VI has provided several information materials on the rights of consumers, programs and projects being implemented by the agency and information on Negosyo Centers. The information kiosk aims to inform the public of the various activities and programs of the government including information about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The kiosks operation is in time for the holding of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting from March 6 to 9, 2017 at the Iloilo Convention Center.

Various concerns of existing and aspiring entrepreneurs were addressed in the Municipality of Lezo, Aklan after several national government agencies converged for the Negosyo Encounter at the town’s covered court on February 28, 2017.

DTI Aklan sets to launch four more NCs

The DTI Aklan Provincial Office is set to launch additional Negosyo Centers (NCs) in the province. The local government units of Makato, Libacao, Malinao, and Malay already gave their nod for the establishment of the facility in their respective municipalities.

DTI VI doubles target of NCs to be established

In an attempt to further promote the assistance of the government to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the countryside, the DTI VI will almost double its earlier commitment on the establishment of Negosyo Centers in Western Visayas and Negros Island Region, this year.
