The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office conducted Balik Eskwela (in-store promo) on May 22 to June 2, 2017. The activity, which encourages retail stores and micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to partner with DTI, aims to offer 5percent to 15 percent discounts on school needs, medicines, selected electrical items, among others, in line with the opening of classes in June.

As part of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Guimaras Provincial Office efforts in facilitating access to financial support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), a financing forum was organized at Zemkamps Chalet, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras on June 8.
The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office conducted a mobile Business Name Registration in retail stores in Brgys. Cabalagnan and Salvacion, Nueva Valencia. This was to ensure that retail stores in the area have registered business names especially the new ones.

Daniel Sabandal Agan, 28, of Brgy. Tacas, Jaro, Iloilo City was crowned Mister Earth Philippines – Water 2017/2018 in the recently concluded Mister Earth Philippines competition held at the Tanghalang Pasigueño, Pasig City on April 23.
DTI OIC Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon (right photo) talks about the topic on local economic development through MSME Development to some 726 local planning and development coordinators throughout the country during the 28th Annual National Convention of the League of Local Planning and Development Coordinators of the Philippines, Inc. at the Punta Villa Resort in Arevalo, Iloilo City on May 24. She also underscored the role of DTI as engines of growth through its various programs like Shared Service Facility, Bottom-Up Budgeting, and Project Kapatid, among others.
The DTI Capiz Provincial Office concluded the Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan activity on May 11 and 12 in Pres. Roxas and Mambusao, Capiz, respectively. A total of 10 distributors/ retailers, with the National Food Authority (NFA) rolling store, participated in the event.
The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office joined the One Stop Shop of Government Services spearheaded by the provincial government on May 16. The activity was conducted in line with the 2017 Mangahan Festival Celebration.
The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office will conduct a Balik Eskwela “In-Store” Diskwento in retail stores in the island-province of Guimaras. The activity starts May 22 and ends on June 2, as classes in public schools starts June 5.
