7 WV women micro-entrepreneurs to join exhibit in Manila



This traditional buri and pandan bags with a touch of modern items will be showcased at the BDTP Showroom. It is manufactured by Nelanz Crafts of San Lorenzo, Guimaras owned and managed by Ana Rodriguez.

The DTI VI has selected seven women micro-entrepreneurs in the region to join the month-long trade fair of the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotions (BDTP) in Makati City which runs from March 20 to April 20, 2017.

These Great Women Project-assisted women micro-entrepreneurs are as follows:

Aklan              - (1) Filbake Food Corporation (sells bread and butter bakery products)
Antique      - (2) Bagtason Loomweavers Association (produces hablon – shawl, cloth, handkerchief, bags made from polyester and rayon)
- (3) Sto. Rosario Multi-Purpose Cooperative (makers of bags, placemats, coasters made from abaca, buri and bariw)
Capiz             - (4) Kapis Atbp Shellcraft (makers of furnishings and holiday decors made of Capiz shells)
Guimaras      - (5) Nelanz Crafts (makers of bags, tablet case, pouches made from pandan, buri, piña and bariw)
Iloilo         - (6) Indag-an Multi-Purpose Cooperative (produces hablon – shawl, cloth, handkerchiefs bags made of polyester and rayon)
Negros Occidental      - (7) Virgie’s Homemade Products (produces mango and pineapple tarts, gelletas)


These handicrafts and food products will be displayed at the BDTP Showroom in Makati City.
