DTI services reaches Sibunag’s remote island-barangay

DTI Guimaras Information Officer-Designate Melecia U. Pait accommodates the business name registration applications in the remote island-barangay of San Isidro in the Municipality of Sibunag, Guimaras

DTI Guimaras Provincial Office, in collaboration with the municipality of Sibunag, continues to provide services closer to the people as it recently conducted a mobile business name registration in the remote island-barangay of Sitio Naoway, San Isidro.

The islet can be reached through a 25-minute pumpboat ride.

The activity was a joint effort of DTI and the Municipal Treasurer’s Office of Sibunag which aims to increase business permits and licensing issued for 2017. There were eight retail store owner who applied for DTI business name registration.

Also, other stores were monitored on compliance to Product Standards Law, and weighing scales were inspected to ensure accuracy and not to shortchange the consumers in the locality.
