As
part of the government’s focus in empowering women entrepreneurs, as well as in
celebration of the National Women’s Month, three MSMEs from the province of
Guimaras participated in an activity for Women Entrepreneurs on March 28, 2017
at Casa Real, Iloilo City.
Organized
by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Office 6, the Google
Business Group (GBG), the Local Economic Investment Promotion Office (LEIPO) –
Iloilo, and the QBO Innovation Hub, this activity aims to provide women with
the tools needed to support their business through digital marketing, gender
sensitivity, and inspirational talks from notable women entrepreneurs.
The
MSMEs from Guimaras that participated in the activity are McNester Food
Products, G & G Foods and Guimaras Wonders Farm. These are enrollees under
the DTI’s Great Women Project (GWP). The GWP, now in its second round, aims to
support women entrepreneurs through intervention programs tailored to their
