appreciation course on coffee and basic coffee preparation and business
operations to entrepreneurs in the coffee industry at the Iloilo Grand Hotel from
June 1 to 3, 2016.

the coffee industry will discuss coffee growing techniques, good agricultural
practices, coffee processing and marketing, trends and direction of the coffee
industry, and coffee harvesting, postharvest processing system and marketing,
among others.
Participants include coffee
farmers, traders, coffee organizations, selected micro, small and medium

units of the coffee industry cluster from the provinces of Antique, Capiz and Iloilo.
The activity also seeks the
organization of a Regional Coffee Council for Region VI.
DTI VI OIC-Regional Director
Rebecca M. Rascon said the activity aims to promote and develop the country’s coffee
industry, not only in the domestic market, but likewise in the international
market.
