DTI VI opens Innovation Center

DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez and DTI VI OIC-Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the launching of the Innovation Center together with the MSMEs and other DTI key officials in the region.

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in need of marketing assistance, financial servicing and technology innovation to enhance their business competitiveness could now seek the services offered by DTI VI’s Innovation Center.

The Center aims to provide a focused and purposive services to MSMEs.

The Innovation Center offers the following identified trainings/ services to interested clients: 1. Conduct of Ideation Seminar; 2. Product design and package counselling; and, 3. Business matching.

The project supports the Negosyo Center lodged at the DTI Iloilo Provincial Office.

The project was realized in response to inquiries by the MSMEs on how they can access or expand markets for their products through web-marketing, which is oftentimes encountered by business counsellors as they perform frontline service sat the Negosyo Center.

The concept of establishing the Center was concretized in consultation with the chairpersons of PSMEDC, Iloilo Federation of Information Technology, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Iloilo Chapter, and Start Up Community Group, who shared the same concerns.
