DTI Aklan to launch Negosyo Center, Shared Service Facility

DTI Aklan Provincial Office is set to launch two major projects of the DTI on Nov. 17, 2016 – the Negosyo Center (NC) in Numancia, and the Shared Service Facility for the Production of Handcrafted Fashion Bags and Souvenir Items in Tangalan.

The NC in Numancia is the fourth in Aklan and the 23rd in Western Visayas. With the NC here, DTI Aklan Provincial Office anticipates to further promote and develop existing businesses in the locality, particularly on food processing, handicraft, and tourism, among others.

Prior to its launching in the afternoon, there will be a consultation dialogue with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the morning. The program for the launching of the Center starts at 1:30pm.

On November 29, the NC will host the Negosyo Encounter for the entrepreneurs to avail of the services of the DTI, including other partner government agencies like the TESDA, DOST, DILG and DAR, among others.

At 3pm, the Shared Service Facility for the Production of Handcrafted Fashion Bags and Souvenir Items in Tangalan, Aklan will be launched. The DTI will turnover 22 units of heavy duty sewing machines to its cooperator, the Uswag Development Foundation, Inc.

DTI VI OIC-Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon will be the guest speaker for both events.
