Regional Science High School for Region VI’s
Lyka Dawn Macolbacol and her mother Doris became P7,000 richer for bagging the
first place during the 1st Regional Consumer Welfare Month Quiz Bee.
The DTI organized the contest in
observance of the Consumer Welfare Month this October.
The Regional Science High School for
Region VI is based in Kalibo, Aklan.
Philippine Science High School-Western
Visayas Campus’ Joachim Regalado and his father, Cyril, were declared first
runner-up. The tandem won P6,000 and a Certificate of Recognition.
Remie Rose Barcebal of San Pedro National
High School in San Jose, Antique and sister Annie Rose Barcebal were named
second runner-up winning P5,000 and a Certificate of Recognition.
The tandems of Donna Velez of Vicente
Andaya Sr. National High School in Roxas City, Capiz and mother, Adora, and Stephie
Rose Magno of Buenavista National High School in Guimaras and mother, Girlie,
each won P2,000 as consolation prizes and a Certificate of Recognition.
The competition was participated by five
pairs of student-parent contestants who were all winners of their respective
provinces. The contest was held at the DTI Regional Office AVR on Friday,
October 28.
