Iloilo City NC counselors undergo orientation

The DTI Iloilo Provincial Office conducted a two-day orientation seminar for the business counselors of the Negosyo Center (NC) of Iloilo City. The activity was attended by 12 participants at the Iloilo City Hall on March 2-3, 2017.

The topics covered were the functions and services related to the operation of the NCs such as: Business Registration and Facilitation, Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) Law implementation, Business Advisory Services and Advocacy.

The Negosyo Center at the Iloilo City hall is expected to operate this year and will serve as a one-stop-shop to cater the needs of potential and existing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Iloilo City.

The facility will extend assistance and services to its clienteles such as entrepreneurship training, marketing assistance and trade promotion, financing facilitation, and MSME business counseling, among others.

To date, the DTI Iloilo Provincial Office has seven (7) NCs located at the DTI Iloilo Office, at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, and in the municipalities of Miagao, Pavia, Lambunao, Passi City, and Concepcion. (by Shayne G. Jornadal/DTI Iloilo)
