DTI monitors fair trade laws enforcement in Guimaras

The DTI Guimaras Provincial Office conducted a mobile Business Name Registration in retail stores in Brgys. Cabalagnan and Salvacion, Nueva Valencia. This was to ensure that retail stores in the area have registered business names especially the new ones.

The agency likewise monitored the renewal of business name registration certificates. There were 23 retail stores monitored compliant to Business Name Law. The municipality requires a DTI Business Name Registration before the issuance of a Business Permit.

Thus, store owners appreciate the services of DTI extended in their area.

The conduct of mobile business name registration is in line with government program of bringing services in the barangays. Aside from this, the agency also monitored the stores compliance to price tag law, mislabelling law and product standard laws. (Melecia U. Pait/DTI Guimaras)
