The Department of Trade and
Industry – Antique Provincial Office will introduce its mentees today, May 17, during
the kick-off activity of the ‘Kapatid Mentor Me’ Project at the The Venue in
Brgy. Funda Dalipe in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.
The project is a series of
management and entrepreneurial trainings for micro, small and medium
enterprises (MSMEs). After the course, MSMEs are expected to improve the standard
of their products and services and come up with globally competitive produce.
The MSMEs will be trained on record
keeping for them to access better financial institutions.
The training will have 11 sessions.
There will be mentors to assist the 20 pre-identified mentees enrolled in the
program. The mentees are expected to attend all modules and finish the course.
The Kapatid Mentor Me Project is a
joint undertaking of the DTI and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship-Go
Negosyo. Its modules include marketing, financial management, human resource
management and operations management, among others.
DTI Iloilo Provincial Office and
DTI Aklan Provincial Office already kicked off their Kapatid Mentor Me Project
on April 19 and May 9, respectively. Other schedules in the provinces are as
follows: Capiz - May 23, Guimaras - July 12, and Negros Occidental - June 29.
